ORPHANED HOME

I see the mourning sun through the veil of dust
A venomous kiss that seals the blurry horizon
Palette of pain and a deafening scream
Broken lines on the canvas of sky...
I see a lonely tree in its utter despair
An orphan accompanied with its own shadow
Rooted in soil fertilized by blood
Blood of the innocent, prey to the greed...
I see a massive silhouette, noble yet sad
Makes me shiver to the core with every new step
Once walked proudly those meadows of lush
Now a refugee and a trophy desired...
Shake that nightmare off, Mother!
Let me heal your wounds with my tears
May my poem be scattered around
Like the petals of hope, a holy relief...
New dawn will bring resurrection
Shake that nightmare off, Mother...
